Anna Boyes

Anna Boyes has been the winner of the London Music Scholarship Foundation; twice the recipient of the Mariana Paunova and Stefano Algieri Scholarship in Voice and Gaelyne Gabora Memorial Prize from McGill University and the Marianne Turner Memorial Scholarship from Durham Philharmonic Choir. Anna has also been a soloist for several oratorios including Haydn’s Creation and Handel’s Messiah both with the Oxford Collegium Singers and Arcady Orchestra, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Gounod’s St Cecilia Mass, Lieschen in Bach’s Coffee Cantata, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Bach’s Christ Lag Todesbanden and Mozart’s Requiem. Her opera and operetta credits include Mascha (The Chocolate Soldier) and Nita (Los Gavilanes) both with Toronto Operetta Theatre; the title role of Alcina with Accademia Europea dell’Opera in Lucca Italy; Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance); Erste Dame (Die Zauberflöte); Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare) and Janthe (Der Vampyr). Anna holds a Masters of Music in Performance and Literature from Western University and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from McGill University. She has been part of Stratford Summer Music’s Vocal Academy, Against the Grain’s Summer Modern Opera Intensive and was an Emerging Artist with Arcady last year. She will be starting her DMA in Vocal Pedagogy at the University of Toronto this Fall.

Lauren Bryant-Monk

Soprano Lauren Bryant-Monk holds a Master’s in Music Performance and Literature at the Western University, where she studied with John MacMaster. A graduate of the University of King’s College and Dalhousie University, Lauren received a BA Combined Honours in Music and Early Modern Studies while studying with Lucy Hayes Davis.

Her interest in early music led Lauren to write her undergraduate honours thesis on the humanism of the Florentine Camerata and the origins of opera in the Renaissance under the Supervision of Dr. Jennifer Bain. Her studies led her to see the similarities between early music and contemporary music, and so she discovered her passion for performing new compositions. This led to partnerships with young composers in Halifax, where she premiered Michael Robson’s Delirium Amoris for Soprano and Viola in 2012. In August 2014, she created the role of Adùle Hugo in La Belle Adùle by Sophie Dupius with Vocalypse Production’s Opera from Scratch. Other recent performances include First Witch in Dido and Aeneas with Little London Community Opera, Frasquita in Carmen with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre, and Tigrane in Radamisto at the Accademia Europea dell’Opera in Lucca, Italy.
Lauren was born in Toronto, but she spent five years living in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she fell in love with the city, its friendly people, and the vibrant community of artists. Because of all this, Lauren now considers Halifax to be her home. Michaela Chiste

Michaela Chiste is a young soprano hailing from Okotoks, Alberta. Originally trained as a stage actor, she spent most of her life studying the dramatic arts and musical theatre before crossing over to the world of classical singing. She completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Alberta in 2017, under the tutelage of John Tessier. She has performed as a concert soloist and recitalist both internationally and across Canada, and has served as soloist in works such as Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and A Ceremony of Carols, and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. An avid lover of new works, Michaela has premiered several pieces, including The Dream, a cantata for soprano and pianoforte (Muskins, 2016), La jugement (Langan, 2019), and Songs of Fracture (Beckett, 2019), which was set to her own poetry. Michaela received praise for her 2019 portrayal of Mimì in Puccini’s La bohùme with Mercury Opera. Opera Canada described her performance as “a fine balance of fragility and hopefulness”. She was also described as “effective

Abigail Freeman

Abigail Freeman recently completed a Master of Music Degree in Voice Performance at Binghamton University, New York. Her engaging presence has lent itself well to such roles as Fanchette (Le mariage aux lanternes), Ilia (Idomeneo), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Adele (Die Fledermaus), and LakmĂ© (LakmĂ©). The young Canadian soprano has also delighted listeners with her expressive singing in the soprano oratorio roles of Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion and J.S. Natalie Gassi

Acclaimed by Opera Canada as “a lovely, powerful soprano with a tremendous range,” soprano Natalie Gassi is quickly becoming one of Canada’s bright opera stars. Since completing her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance at the University of Toronto, and Masters of Music in Literature and Performance at Western University, Natalie has appeared as a soloist with various opera companies in the Greater Toronto Area and in London.
Over the past few years, Natalie has performed numerous operatic roles, including: Suor Angelica, Madama Butterfly, Violetta (La Traviata) and MimĂŹ (La BohĂšme).
Natalie is the cofounder and head instructor at London’s “Gassi Voice Studio.” She hopes to continue sharing her love of opera with her students, as well as on national and international stages. http://www.gassimusic.com/

Vivien Illion

Soprano Vivien Illion combines sensitive musical interpretation with a fervent interest in the languages and histories of the vocal repertoire. She is passionate about performing a wide range of repertoire, and believes that a commitment to new music is vital for musicians today. In Summer 2021 she prepared an outdoor, COVID-safe performance of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. In addition to performing the role of Cherubino, she is co-directed the production, which received a Matchmaker MicroGrant from the Mississauga Arts Council.
Vivien recently completed her third year at the Royal Conservatory of Music Glenn Gould School, where she was the recipient of numerous scholarships, pursuing a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Voice Performance. She studies with soprano Monica Whicher and coaches with Peter Tiefenbach. During her time at GGS she has performed in masterclasses for artists such as Adrianne Pieczoka, Lynne Dawson, and John Hess. In the winter of 2019, she prepared to appear as Suor Dolcina in the Glenn Gould School’s Spring Opera, Suor Angelica, in Koerner Hall, conducted by Nicolas Ellis and directed by Michael Cavanaugh, although this performance was ultimately cancelled in March of 2020.
Growing up, Vivien sang in the Toronto Children’s Chorus (TCC). In 2016, she was part of an ensemble of TCC choristers selected to perform the treble voices in the chorus of Opera Atelier’s production of Dido and Aeneas. As a result of this experience, she developed a particular interest in early music, along with a love of opera that inspired her to pursue a post-secondary education in voice. Vivien is currently knitting a purple sweater with a scalloped hemline, and looks forward to completing its final sleeve soon.

Roanna Kitchen

Roanna Kitchen is a Canadian soprano praised for her striking stage presence and musical versatility. She recently completed her Advanced Certificate in Performance (specializing in early music) from the University of Toronto. Roanna also holds masters and undergraduate degrees in Voice Performance, during which time she studied with Frédérique Vézina and Danial Taylor.

Roanna has performed various roles on stage including Frasquita in Carmen, Clarice in Il giuoco del quadriglio, Serpina in La serva padrona, Miss Robinson and Lady Appleby in The Shop Girl, Iris in Semele, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance and Donna Marie in Blood Brothers. She premiered the role of Mentuhotep in the new opera Conan and the Stone of Kelior and appeared in the original cast recording. Roles cancelled due to force majeure include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with the Vocal Academy of Opera in Bodrum (2023) and Second Norn in GötterdĂ€mmerung with Opera by Request (2020). She has also participated as a young artist in programs such as the Vocal Academy of Opera in Bodrum, the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute, St. Andrew’s Vocal Techniques Workshop, Opera Nuova’s 10 Day Development Program and the Summer Opera Lyric Theatre. Roanna has been the recipient of multiple scholarships including the Arts Abroad Grant through Canada Council for the Arts, the Lillian and Henry Regehr Scholarship, the University of Toronto Music Fellowship Award, Arthur Edward Redsell Scholarship, Lois Marshall Memorial Scholarship, Undergraduate Campaign Scholarship and the President’s Entrance Scholarship.

Chelsea Kolić

Canadian soprano Chelsea Kolić has been performing publicly since the age of seven. In 2016, she completed her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance at McGill University (MontrĂ©al, Canada) under the supervision of soprano Joanne Kolomyjec. Chelsea performed her first role with the University Mozarteum in December 2018 in their production of Philippe Boesmans’ Reigen. Chelsea has spent two summers as part of the Accademia Europa dell’Opera (Lucca, Italy) singing the role of Oberto in HĂ€ndel’s Alcina (2017) and Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (2018). Her operatic scenes work includes the role of Carolina (Cimarosa’s Il Matrimonio Segreto), Beth (Adamo’s Little Women) and Dater #16 (in the Canadian premiere of Micheal Ching’s Speed Dating Tonight!). She has worked extensively on the roles of Pamina (Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte), Äanchen (von Weber’s Der FreischĂŒtz), and Morgana (HĂ€ndel’s Alcina). Her chorus experience includes engagements with the Salzburg Festival (Austria), Theater OsnabrĂŒck (Germany), Opera McGill (Canada), and Opera Hamilton (Canada). Chelsea’s choral and cantor experience began in 2002 and she has performed often throughout North America and Europe. She has also participated in many solo and studio recitals in Canada, Italy, Spain, and Austria. Upon graduating from her bachelor degree, Chelsea received special distinction and excellence in voice performance. She has been awarded many voice and academic scholarships from both McGill University and the University Mozarteum. Chelsea studied at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. She has completed a Master of Music (Lied and Oratorio) under the direction of Barbara Bonney and Wolfgang Holzmair and is currently completing a Master of Music (Opera) under the direction of Gernot Sahler and Alexander von Pfeil.

Sophia Korz​

Canadian singer-songwriter/classical soprano Sophia Korz began songwriting at the age of twelve and has since found herself unable to stop. Under the tutelage of Dr. Joan Heels (voice) and Francine Regaudie-McIsaac (piano/theory/history), she pursues senior levels of RCM training and has won two Gold Medals (RCM Voice), First Place/Best of Class for Level 8 Voice Provincials (OMFA), and countless other scholarships from various festivals. Developing her skills at integrating both compositional and performance styles, she has studied choral works under Dr. Tracy Wong (McMaster University Choir, Cantemus Vocal Ensemble: 2019-2021), as well as masterclasses by Dr. Shannon Coates (Contemporary Singing), Elizabeth McDonald (Vocal Health/Physiology), Zimfira Poloz (Russian Choral Music), soprano Jennie Such, and tenor Elliot Madore. Influenced by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Amy Lee, Tori Amos, and select choral composers (Laurisden, Bergersen, Hagenberg, Rutter), she is interested in the synthesis of classical and popular music. Since her debut single “Flinch” in 2019, she has produced and released three additional tracks as an indie solo artist, with “NOBODIES” (2022) being her most recent reflection on the COVID-19 aftermath. She can be found on streaming platforms everywhere and is excited to be working on her debut EP.

Olivia Maldonado

Olivia Maldonado is a soprano who has completed a Master’s of Vocal Literature and Performance with Western University.  She is currently studying with baritone, Dr. Todd Wieczorek.  Olivia had her first professional debut as a soloist in September 2019 with Toronto Operetta Theatre’s Viva la Zarzuela.  Other performance credits include Lauretta from Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre, Serpetta in La finta giardiniera, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro with Western University, and Oronte in Handel’s Alcina with the Accademia Europea Dell’Opera in Lucca, Italy.  She has also performed in numerous concerts with Arcady and was featured in their music video, Snowflakes Fall Softly, and undertook Arcady’s Emerging Artist Training Program in 2015.  In addition to her performance endeavours, Olivia holds various scholarships such as the Don Wright Scholarship Fund in Vocal Music and the University of Toronto Vari Scholarship. Olivia has a passion for performing and teaching, and she hopes to instil the same thrill with her students and audience.

Sarah McQueen

Sarah McQueen holds a Bachelor of Music from Dalhousie University and a Masters in Performance and Literature from the University of Western Ontario. She has performed Cleopatra in Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Halifax Summer Opera Workshop), Drusilla in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea (UWOpera) and internationally as Agata in Cagnoni’s little-known gem Don Bucefalo (La Musica Lirica). Her oratorio performances include Handel’s Messiah with the Saint John Chorale, Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore with the Festival Singers of Halifax, and Bach’s St John Passion with the Dalhousie Chorale. As a vocal teacher in the Brantford area, Sarah loves to inspire and motivate her students with her love and knowledge of music. Sarah is a former Arcady Emerging Artist and now a leading mentor.

Elise Nacarrato

Elise Nacarrato is an emerging conductor and singer originally from Vancouver, BC. She began her musical journey with the Hamilton Children’s Choir under the leadership of Zimfira Poloz. She completed her Honours Bachelor in Music at McMaster University, all the while participating in the McMaster University Choirs, Ontario Youth Choir, and National Youth Choir. As a soloist, Elise has performed with the Halton-Mississauga Youth Orchestra, Orpheus Male Choir, and the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. With a passion for choral music, Elise completed her Masters in Music (Choral Conducting) at the University of Toronto. She has had the privilege of working with the U of T Women’s Chamber Choir, Apprentice Conductor for Arcady, and in the summer of 2016 was one of two conducting apprentices chosen for the 2016 Ontario Youth Choir under the highly regarded Robert Cooper, CM. In September 2017, Elise formed Burlington’s first women’s choir, Myriad. Elise also works as the Events Manager for Symphony on the Bay and Administrative Director for Chorus Niagara Children’s Choir. As an emerging conductor, this season Elise is humbled to continue to learn from Robert Cooper as the Apprentice Conductor for Orpheus Choir of Toronto and Chorus Niagara. Vanessa Oude-Reimerink

Born in Ontario, Vanessa Oude-Reimerink is a young soprano who is quickly gaining recognition for her performances in opera, music theatre and contemporary collaborations. Vanessa is an alumnus of Calgary Opera’s Opera’s Emerging Artist Development Program and Vancouver Opera’s Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program. Vanessa has been featured in leading roles across the country such as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific with Calgary Opera’s Opera in the Village Festival, Josephine in Edmonton Opera’s production of HMS Pinafore, and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Southern Ontario Lyric Opera. Recently, Vanessa made her Tapestry Opera debut in Tap:Ex Augmented Opera, and also performed Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro with Edmonton Opera, and Messiah with Arcady Ensemble. Other notable appearances include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, Barbarina/Susanna (cover) in Le Nozze di Figaro (Calgary Opera and Vancouver Opera), Sandman/Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel (Vancouver Opera), Lucia in The Rape of Lucretia (Banff Centre/Against the Grain), Cathy in The Last Five Years (Toronto Summer Music Festival), and Frasquita in Carmen (Edmonton Opera). Vanessa has taken part in workshops for new concepts and works with Against the Grain, Opera on the Avalon, and Tapestry Opera. Vanessa holds a Master’s Degree from the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, where she studied with Patrick Hansen, Michael McMahon and Sanford Sylvan. She has received additional training from The Banff Centre, Centre d’Arts Orford, COSI, Opera NUOVA, Opera on the Avalon, the St. Andrews Opera Workshop and Western University. Vanessa is a recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship, an Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera Western Canada District and the University of Western Ontario Gold Medal. This fall, Vanessa will begin pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance at the University of Toronto, under the guidance of Monica Whicher.

Terri-Lyn Paterson

Terri-Lyn Paterson grew up in the Kitchener area. During her formative years, she studied accordion, piano and voice. To date, she has performed seven of the G&S operettas. Continuing with her love of music, she graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance. Terri-Lyn has sung with various groups – including Opera Hamilton, John Laing Singers, K-W Oktoberfest Productions – and is now singing with Arcady. From solo recitals to ensemble choirs, Terri-Lyn continues to sing and is now training a future generation of singers – her own two daughters Bronwyn and Tamara.

Cristina Pisani​

Cristina Pisani​ is a vibrant soprano hailing from Mississauga. Cristina’s exciting 2019-2020 season has featured company debuts with Toronto Operetta Theatre in their Viva La Zarzuela concert, OperOttawa in their opera gala, The Edison Singers as a chorister and soloist, and Mississauga Symphony Orchestra as Violetta in Verdi’s La traviata. This summer, she looks forward to covering the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Brott Opera and performing as a featured soloist in their annual PopOpera concert. Cristina is a frequently featured by Arcady, with whom she was an Emerging Artist in 2017-2018. She also performs regularly with Opera by Request and OperOttawa, with whom she made her role debut as LeĂŻla in a touring production of Bizet’s Les pĂȘcheurs de perles. Other recent operatic highlights include Helmwige in Wagner’s Die WalkĂŒre (Opera by Request), Siren in Handel’s Rinaldo (OperOttawa), and Violetta in Verdi’s La traviata (Summer Opera Lyric Theatre). Cristina has also appeared as MimĂŹ in Leoncavallo’s seldom-performed La bohĂšme (Opera by Request), Governess in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw (Abridged Opera), Orpah in Beckett’s Ruth (Arcady), the title roles in Verdi’s La traviata (Jeunesses Musicales Canada) and Puccini’s Suor Angelica (Accademia Europea dell’Opera – AEDO), Alice Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff (UWOpera), and Second Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (AEDO). As 1st prize winner of the 2018 Clifford Poole Vocal Competition, Cristina was featured in two concerts with the Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra. Cristina began her musical training at the age of three with her mother and completed her MMus in Vocal Performance and Literature at Western University in 2016 under the tutelage of Sophie Roland and Simone Luti. In the few hours she is away from music, Cristina loves to spend time with her family, friends and pets.

Julia Surette

Local soprano Julia Surette is an award-winning Canadian-American soprano recognized for her captivating sound and stage presence. In May 2022, Julia made her professional debut in London, UK singing in Hampstead Garden Opera (HGO)’s production of Dido and Aeneas in the role of Belinda.Julia grew up in the city of Brantford and studied under the guidance of Irena Hernandez. In Brantford Kiwanis, Julia won the Keighley’s Jewellers Junior Rose Bowl in 2013 at the age of 17 and the Donna Chapin Crystal Rose Bowl and the Richard Blaha Memorial Silver Tray in 2014. Julia has always been locally supported by groups like the Brantford Music Club (where she made her stage debut at 18 in the Young Artist Concert), Brant Men of Song, and the Brantford Division of ORMTA. Julia received local scholarships that helped to fund her undergraduate studies including the G White Scholarship (ORMTA), The Mel Plant Award (Brant Men of Song), and the Tom Raynor Memorial Award. Julia has performed and studied with leading opera courses and companies around the world. She has sung Serpetta in La finta Giardiniera (AEDO, Lucca, Italy), Atalanta in Serse (AEDO, Lucca, Italy), and Despina in Cosi fan tutte (University of Cincinnati), as well as the title role of Sally in Thomas and Sally (McGill, Montreal) among others. In July 2022, Julia completed her Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music where she studied under the tutelage of British Bass, Giles Underwood. Julia has been recognized in numerous opera competitions, the most recent of which being a semi-finalist in her first international singing competition in Sanguinetto, Italy. She has also been the recipient of the prestigious La Concours de Musique de la Capitale (Quebec, Canada), the Canadian Sinfonietta young artist competition, as well as the Mariana Paunova and Stefano Algieri Scholarship in Voice at the Schulich School of Music. Accreditations include a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance at McGill University and Canada’s Royal Conservatory for both Voice Performance and Piano. She has a solid working knowledge of Italian and has proficiency in French and German. Julia plans to continue pursuing a career in opera and classical art song on international classical Opera and Concert stages.

Paula Thomas

Paula Thomas (soprano) holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from McMaster University, and a Master of Music in Literature and Performance (Voice) from Western University. She has studied under the tutelage of Richard Cunningham, Lesley Andrew, and Torin Chiles. She has performed the roles of La novizia and Suor Osmina in Puccini’s Suor Angelica with Accademia Europea dell’Opera (Lucca, Italy), and First Woman in Arcady’s production of Ronald Beckett’s musical drama Ruth (Cambridge). She performs as a soloist and ensemble member with various choirs including Chor Amica (London), Choral Connection (St. Thomas), and Arcady (Brantford). She was selected as an Arcady Emerging Artist in 2012, and continues to work as an event coordinator on staff. At Metropolitan United Church (London), Paula sings in the senior choir and is the music leader at the Water’s Edge service. Following her passion for music education, she has joined the staff at Preschool of the Arts (London) leading preschool music programs and Family Tree Music classes. Paula enjoys providing music for weddings, and performing at long-term-care facilities. She owns a growing music studio in her hometown of St. Thomas

Allison Walmsley

Allison Walmsley​ was honoured and thrilled to be part of the Arcady team as an Emerging Artist in 2016. She was introduced to Arcady as a member of the Emerging Artist cast of Ruth International in June 2017. Hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan she completed her Bachelor’s degree in voice performance at the University of Saskatchewan, studying under Dr. Garry Gable and Kathleen Lohrenz Gable. Since completing her degree, Allison has received many awards and partaken in various performance opportunities across Canada. In 2016 and 2014 respectively, she won the Gordon Wallis Opera competition and the CFMTA Young Artist competition and tour in her home province. Recent projects include Queen of the Night in Opera Kelowna’s production of Die Zauberflöte, Nanetta in Western University’s production of Falstaff, Emily in Opera NUOVA’s production of Our Town, Lucy in the U of S Music Theatre ensemble’s The Beggars Opera. Allison completed her Masters of Music degree in performance and literature at Western University under the tutelage of soprano Jackie Short. Nurturing her love of contemporary Canadian music, she participated in Western University’s contemporary ensemble under the direction of John Hess and DĂĄirine NĂ­ Mheadhra. In 2017, Allison reprised the role of Queen of the Night in Western Opera’s production of Die Zauberflöte and performed in Messiah with Regina Symphony Orchestra.

Kelly Wrigglesworth

Kelly Wrigglesworth is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in the Music Education program. She has studied voice with Alvin Reimer and was also a member of the Faculty Singers and the Early Music Studio at UWO. She has been performing with the ensemble since its founding, and in that time she has performed the lead role in staged performances of Dido and Aeneas, Acis and Galatea, and Ruth. Kelly has also performed featured roles in John, I Am
 and The Magic Flute with this ensemble. She is a former recipient of the Governor General’s Medal, the University Women’s Club Scholarship and a co-winner of the P.G. Marshall Memorial Scholarship.

Tammy Whetham

Tammy Whetham holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in voice from Wilfrid Laurier University where she studied under the direction of Daniel Lichti and Kathleen Brett. Tammy’s love and passion for storytelling has taken her down many avenues as a singer, actor, dancer, voice-artist, and educator.  Tammy attended the Banff Professional Musical Theatre Training Intensive (2012, 2013) and the NYU Steinhardt: Summer Study in Musical Theatre (2009) where she worked with many NYC choreographers, directors, and voice teachers. Tammy has had the pleasure of performing in Josh Groban’s chorus at the Sony Centre as part of his Stages tour.  In 2010, Tammy worked as the lead female singer in the production cast onboard the Pacific Venus, Japan Cruise Line. She has appeared as a featured soloist with the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra, The Habourtown Sound, at the Cambridge Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts, and The Women of Musical Theatre Festival. Tammy has studied voice pedagogy with Jeanie LoVetri through Somatic Voicework℠ The LoVetri Method (2012) and with Dr. Brian Gill at the NYU Summer Vocal Pedagogy Intensive (2015). Tammy wears many hats as a performer, teacher, director, and publicist. Anna Wojcik

Anna Wojcik is a young Polish-Canadian soprano who has already performed for audiences across Canada, the US, Poland, and Germany. She is hailed as “one to watch” (Opera Ramblings, 2019). In 2021, Anna plays Susanna in a self-produced backyard production of Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro and will be a soloist with the Oakville Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Charles Demuynck.
Anna has won countless competitions including the 69th ACPC Marcella Kochańska-Sembrich Vocal Competition and the Doreen Chaddock Memorial Vocal Scholarship Competition. She has appeared with the Royal Conservatory Orchestra, Toronto Sinfonietta, Camerata Ensemble, and the Celebrity Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, Anna sang in Carnegie Hall for the American ProtĂ©gĂ© Competition Winners Recital. The following year, she received the 2016 Emerging Music Artist MARTY Award from the Mississauga Arts Council for her accomplishments. Within the past two years, Anna has performed multiple opera roles including: 2nd Spirit in Mozart’s Magic Flute (GGS), Annina in Verdi’s La Traviata (SOLT), Nora in Vaughan Williams’ Riders to the Sea (SOLT), and Sister Osmina in Puccini’s Suor Angelica (GGS).
Anna is working towards her Bachelor of Music degree at the Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music, where she is studying with Jean Macphail and Peter Tiefenbach. As a first-generation Canadian, Anna is happy to maintain her Polish culture through regularly singing within the Polish community and discovering the little-known repertoire of Polish composers.
