Jennifer Blackwell, Research Assistant
Jennifer Blackwell is a Canadian saxophonist and music educator. As an advocate for new music, she has premiered numerous works for saxophone in collaboration with emerging and established composers. She frequently presents at regional, national, and international conferences on topics in music performance, music education, and new music. Jennifer is the editor of the The Saxophone Symposium
, and her most recent publications are featured in the Journal of Research in Music Performance
and Canadian Music Educator
. She holds degrees from the University of Western Ontario (BMus, Music Education) and Central Michigan University (MM Saxophone Performance, MM Music Education), and she is currently pursuing her PhD in Music Education with a minor in Saxophone Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Elise Naccarato, Personal Assistant to Ronald Beckett
Born in Vancouver, BC and now living in Burlington, Elise could sing before she could talk! Elise is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Toronto and completed her undergraduate in music at McMaster University (Voice Performance). Her passion for choral studies started as a child singing in the Hamilton Children’s Choir and her love for the choral arts has led Elise to sing with the McMaster University Choirs, University of Toronto Choirs, Ontario Youth Choir (2013, 2015), National Youth Choir (2014), Arcady, as well as many other community and church choirs. She is fortunate to maintain an active solo career as well. Her passion is working with young singers and at present, she has the privilege of being the Conductor of the Arcady Women’s Chamber Choir, Assistant Conductor of University of Toronto Women’s Chamber Choir and Rehearsal Assistant at Young Voices Toronto. Elise is thrilled to be in her fifth summer working for Arcady as Ron’s “trusty assistant”!
